Cole Guttman was picked by the Tampa Bay Lightning inn the 6th round of the 2017 draft, but opted to go to college, and play for the University of Denver.
In 2022, he was signed by the Chicago and sent to Rockford. He has played 14 games for the Blackhawks, this season, and has 6 points (4G,2A). He has 30 points in the 39 games he's played with the IceHogs, recording 16 goals and 14 assists.
Even with being injured in back in the late Fall of 2022, Guttman wanted to continue to play, and the Blackhawks wanted to let him as long as he could. That time has come, a few weeks after he re-aggravated the injury in the game against San José on February 25th.
Of course, you wouldn't have any idea to look at him - as he just scored the game tying goal against the Panthers only 3 days ago.
Still, moments like these should give the Chicago fans and entire organization hope and faith that if he can do all of this while not being 100% healthy, just imagine what he'll be like next season.
