BREAKING - Minnesota Wild Have Officially Traded a Goaltender..
BREAKING NEWS - the Minnesota Wild have officially traded Cam Talbot to the Ottawa senators in exchange for the Senators current backup goaltender Filip Gustvafsson. News was released as of late that Cam Talbot and his agent were not happy that the team re signed Marc-Andre Fleury to a multi-year deal and did not notify Talbot about the signing which affects his playing time.
This trade does not have a true winner, it's a win win. The Ottawa senators are in a win-now stage after acquiring Alex DeBrincat and there youth being ready to go and developed, acquiring 35 year old veteran goaltender Cam Talbot gives the Senators the experience they need between the pipes and Talbot will be a great goalie mentor for there current goaltender Anton Forsberg.
The Minnesota Wild receive a 24 year old goaltender with under 20 NHL games played, a lot of games to still develop in a new winning atmosphere in a Wild jersey. Marc-Andre Fleury will play a huge role in his development, while it gives Fleury full time games between the pipes throughout his last few years in the NHL.
