BREAKING: Patrick Kane Looks to Head to One Specific Canadian Team
As Patrick Kane's rehabilitation progresses, rumors are spreading that the forward will return to the NHL soon.
Pat Brisson, Kane's agent, said they would not sign with any teams until the time was right.
There seems to be no better time than now, as the forward has been linked to one of the top contenders in Alberta, the Edmonton Oilers.
Edmonton Oilers are among the teams on Kane's list, according to NHL Insider Elliot Friedman.
The salary cap would have to be shuffled for this to work, as they are currently pressed for money.
In the event that a trade were made and he were offered a contract, Kane would certainly consider moving there. Taking a shot at Patrick Kane is a good idea when Edmonton needs all the help it can get.
"I think it's possible he's going to start narrowing down some of the teams that he's interested in and are interested in him," Friedman said during Saturday Headlines on Hockey Night in Canada. "I still think he's a few weeks away from playing, but I think we're getting at least a few days closer to him narrowing down the list."
The timeline for Kane's return to NHL ice appears to be within a few weeks, according to Friedman.
In the meantime, he'll go through his list and continue to narrow down the teams.
