BREAKING: Stan Bowman to Make a Return to The NHL?
Former Chicago Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman may be making a potential return to the NHL, and according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Pittsburgh Penguins could be a good fit for him. Friedman recently stated on the 32 Thoughts: The Podcast that he would expect the Penguins to ask the NHL about speaking to Bowman, citing his past history with Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan.
Before Sullivan's successful tenure with the Penguins, he worked in player personnel with the Blackhawks while Bowman was in charge. This connection could make Bowman an attractive candidate for the Penguins as they look to revamp their roster and management after a disappointing season.
Bowman has a successful track record as a general manager, having won three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks. If he does make a return to the NHL, it will be interesting to see where he ends up and what kind of impact he can make on his new team.
