BREAKING: The Biggest Name so Far Has Been Placed on Waivers
No one anticipated Jakub Vrana to be the guy the Detroit Red Wings placed on waivers today to create room for Robby Fabbri's return. The young forward, who just just advanced to the next round of the Player Assistance Program, has been put on waivers today, according to Chris Johnston, Elliotte Friedman and many other NHL analysts.
This comes at a shock, as Vrana was traded by the Washington Capitals just years ago in exchange for Anthony Mantha, who is an elite player.
Vrana was drafted 13th overall in the 2014 NHL draft but has recently hit a roadblock, when he would join the NHL players assistance program that is used for players struggling with addictions, mental health and or family problems.
We hope that another team can give Vrana an opportunity to bloom, as he is just 26 years of age with promising stats.
