With Jones significant cap hit and contract length, it's hard to imagine a trade partner emerges.

So, it seems likely that Jones remains in the Windy City and plays top pair minutes as the clubs number one defenceman.

While the club is rebuilding and a $9.5M contract sort of goes against those plans, absorbing such a contract is a big ask, even though it's Seth Jones.
