The Chicago Blackhawks have been releasing players from their training camps, as well as other teams around the league.
Yesterday, the Hawks put David Gust, Mike Hardman, and Brett Seney on waivers, first reported by Charlie Roumeliotis.
One of the most notable name here was Brett Seney. Seney showed a lot of upside after his tenure with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brett had 54 points in 59 games down with the Rockford Icehogs, then came up in the middle of the season and scored his first goal with the Blackhawks in his first seven games.
This was a very risky move by Chicago as they could have been picked up by 31 other teams. All three skaters show some bit of upside. Luckily for the Hawks, they all cleared waivers this afternoon.
