Calvin de Haan Has Officially Found A New NHL Home

Former Blackhawks defenseman Calvin de Haan has found a home for the 2022-2023 NHL season. The former first round draft pick will be returning to the Carolina Hurricanes. de Haan spent a single season in Carolina before these last three years in Chicago. In his previous stint with the Canes (2018-2019), he saw quite a bit of ice time, playing 74 games with 14 points on the season (1 goal, 13 assists). During his three years with the Blackhawks, he amassed a total of 24 points with 6 goals and 18 assists.
His deal with the Canes is a 1 year deal worth 850K. He'll be hoping to have a good enough season to earn himself a long term deal. If not with the Canes, possibly elsewhere. Take a look back at some of Calvin de Haan's best moments with the Blackhawks:
