The NHL trade deadline is coming up super quick and the hockey world is still wondering... what's going on with Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane? Kane's been rumoured to be moved to a handful of contenders, including the New York Rangers.
However, Rangers General Manager Chris Drury decided to acquire Vladimir Tarasenko from the St Louis Blues due to uncertainty of if Kane was healthy enough to have a deep playoff run.
Kane was admittedly disappointed when the news broke out of the Big Apple, but one Hockey Insider thinks this was a good decision, feeling Kane would be a home run on this Canadian roster. According to Hockey Insider Mark Spector of Sportsnet, he believes Kane should be a Edmonton Oiler.
"I believe the Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks have all the pieces worked out to make a blockbuster deal. I believe neither Erik Karlsson nor Jakob Chychrun are possibilities in Edmonton. A home run, on this roster at this moment, is a Top 6 forward. And at the top of the list is Patrick Kane."
