Blackhawks fans have relished witnessing the introduction and promising performances from Bedard since the season began. His story continues to unfold following a fantastic summer that saw him making a strong impression on the NHL media and fan base across North America.
In the past few games, Bedard's skills have been rounding into form, and he is starting to consistently produce multi-point games. His recent performance against the Tampa Bay Lightning is particularly noteworthy, as it has resulted in two significant effects.
Firstly, Bedard has become the youngest player in Blackhawks history to record multi-point games, as highlighted in the following tweet:
The second, and more pressing effect, is that the Tampa Bay Lightning failed to score a single goal in their subsequent games after facing the Blackhawks that night.
Since their game on November 9th, the Lightning have played against the Hurricanes and the Blues. In both contests, they were scored nine times and failed to produce a single goal.
Bedard's impact during the game against the Lightning included two goals, two assists, four points, and five shots on goal, ultimately leading the Blackhawks to a 5-3 victory.
It is worth noting that the Blackhawks are set to face the Lightning once again on November 12th, with the game scheduled for 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
