FLASHBACK: Jonathan Toews and The Chicago Blackhawks Take Part in a Hilarious Challenge
In a possible effort to appease their Captainless fanbase, the Blackhawks released a fun video of a few of the guys participating in a «you laugh, you lose» contest. One of those players was none other than the recently elusive Jonathan Toews. Granted, theses promos are most likely filmed at random times throughout the season, so there's really no exact science of figuring out if it was done before or after his illness, but one can't help to see it as a possible distraction from the blatantly noticeable of Chicago's Captain.
The video is absolutely adorable, and it's always fun to see the guys joking around with each other. It's not going to stop anyone from speculating about his health or trade destinations, but it is nice to see his face. And with a smile, to boot!
There's no doubt an entire city will feel his absence, if/when he goes - either by trade or retirement.
Until then, we'll just keep wishing him safety, good health, and the best possible outcome for him and the team.
