Former 2 Pick May became a cap casualty
The Florida Panthers are operating on a tightrope with talent due to their limited cap space and recent additions, such as Matthew Tkachuk.
Unfortunately, the Florida Panthers will have to offload some of their top talent, including former #2 pick Sam Reinhart.
Reinhart listed as trade candidate
In recent years, Florida has become a regular playoff contender as Reinhart took well to the system.
Due to Reinhart's contract expiration next year and the need to sign Brandon Montour, and Gustav Forsling, and give Aaron Ekblad a raise, the team has limited space.
The Athletic noted him as a trade candidate, especially if he does not fit their long-term plans.
In case the Panthers have to move Reinhart, he will make a great addition to any new team he plays for.
