Hawks Unorthodox GM Search continues..

The Chicago Blackhawks surprised some when they announced that they were starting their GM search.

The position has remained open for months, interim general manager Kyle Davidson would navigate the team through the rest of season before the team would start the search during the offseason.

Davidson is expected to be a top candidate.

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Blackhawks will start looking at people from the baseball world.

'Jamie Faulkner, who's running the GM search in Chicago, she has a history in baseball. I heard rumors they were going to interview people in the baseball world for the GM job.

They'll interview people outside of hockey, and I'm wondering if there's any chance of that'.

John McDonough made it work, to a certain extent, but there's a contrast between GM and President.
