Heartbreaking Update From the Oshie Family
It is clear that T.J. Oshie shared a special bond with his father, and his passing on a significant day for the Washington Capitals in 2018 was undoubtedly a difficult tragedy to overcome.
Unfortunately, bad news seems to follow Oshie as he recently lost his close friend Michael Tveiter, who passed away in his sleep at the young age of 37.
"Absolutely heartbroken to learn that my good friend and high school teammate unexpectedly died yesterday while taking a nap from a migraine. Any donation to his wife and kids pictured below can help them navigate life without Michael moving forward. Love you Tveiter!! Donate here"
Oshie and Tveiter were former teammates on Warroad High School's hockey team, where they secured two state championships.
Tveiter is survived by his wife Darnell, and their three sons Carson, Cooper, and Cullen. This is a tragic loss for all those who knew him.
