In the young NHL season, the Chicago Blackhawks have played nine games, and one glaring statistic stands out: Lukas Reichel, the team's forward, has yet to tally a point.
While fans may express concern, no one is more frustrated than Reichel himself. Of course his mood would be quite different if they were on a winning note, but the Blackhawks recently received a pounding from the Arizona Coyotes, losing 8-1 and giving Lukas Reichel's season total in the plus/minus department a staggering negative (-) 9.
To ignite Reichel's offensive game, the Blackhawks made a significant move during practice. They shifted Reichel to the left wing, with Andreas Athanasiou at center and Taylor Raddysh on the right wing.
This change in position may not be permanent, but it's a step in a new direction. Blackhawks' head coach Luke Richardson indicated that they might consider moving him back depending on Taylor Hall's return.
