Important Dates for Blackhawk fans to mark down
In recent years, the Chicago Blackhawks have experienced significant changes, including the drafting of Connor Bedard and a fast roster turnover.
Unfortunately, the organization's Chairman, Rocky Wirtz, passed away at the age of 70 after battling an illness.
#Blackhawks are expected to announce on Monday the dates and plans for a public celebration of life for Rocky Wirtz at the United Center, preceded by private, family services. It's looking like the events will be the week of August 7.
Wirtz assumed the role in 2007 and quickly turned the team into a dynasty, winning three cups and acquiring top players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. Despite the kyle Beach scandal, Wirtz successfully reignited fan enthusiasm during the Toews and Kane era.
Wirtz deserves credit for constructing several winning teams, and Chicago will hold commemorative events for him during the week of August 7th.
