This season, Boston Bruins' broadcasting announcer Jack Edward's career has trended more than ever due to a controversial situation that broke the internet, Jack Edwards, who is already known for his contradicting statements on air laid another one towards former Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Maroon.

Maroon is listed at 238 pounds. That was Day 1 of training camp. I've got a feeling he's had a few more pizzas between then and now. Fasting. Inadvertent fasting for Pat Maroon is like four hours without a meal. But hey, [he's won] three [Stanley Cups] in a row! Who can argue with his formula?

Edwards released an apology about one week after the comments were made, but likely only because a fans video of him stating those harsh words went viral and a lot of athletes spoke out about their displeasure.

The Bruins and Lighting are set to face off tonight for their first game since the incident and Jack Edwards took the opportunity to head down to the Tampa Bay Lightnings locker room to apologize to Patrick Maroon, but.. it didn't seem to go as planned.

First meeting between Bruins and #GoBolts since December and the comments made by Jack Edwards about Pat Maroon, Edwards went to Maroon to offer an apology.

It's not exactly going well for Edwards.

As this was a private conversation, even in a public setting, it's not my place to share exactly what was said unless either party wishes to reveal, but I will say it's evident Maroon is still displeased with the situation.

I mean, you can't blame Maroon for being displeased in this situation, sadly he only got the apology due to social media making Edwards' comments trend, as Edwards has stated many rude things in the past that were swept away, and no apology was given.
