Jonathan Huberdeau Is The Second NHL Player Ever To Agree to Do WHAT!?
Newly acquired Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau is just the second player in NHL history to do something quite interesting..
'Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau has pledged to donate his brain to science after he dies.
Huberdeau's pledge follows that of Devils defensemen Ben Lovejoy, who in December 2017 became the first active NHL player to make that commitment.''
Huberdeau stated:
«As an NHL player, I'm very aware of the impact of traumatic brain injuries, concussions and the link to other mental health issues.»
Concussions, injuries and mental health issues- some things that are just not talked about enough in the hockey world as of todays day and age, and needs to be done more. We may see more players follow Huberdeau footsteps..
