During today's morning skate interviews, Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews took a moment to reminisce about some of his most cherished memories from his career. The emotions were palpable as Toews reflected on some of the biggest moments of his career, including the 2009 playoffs against the Flames and the intense playoff series against Vancouver. Toews also spoke about the "Circus Trip," an annual tradition for the Blackhawks where they would play a week of games in Western Canada, marking the official start of the hockey season.

Toews had this to say about the good old days: "If I think back, the first playoff series I ever played in was against the Flames [in 2009]. I remember the energy in the Saddledome here. We had some really tough series against Vancouver, as well. Some hatred that lasted for years there. Those are good memories."

Toews continued to describe the feeling of being on a rollercoaster of emotions during the playoffs: "The first game we won [in the 2009 Flames series] was in Chicago. I remember the feeling of, after you win one game, 'Why can't we win 15 more?' You get so high. And then you lose the next one, and that feeling creeps in of, 'OK, maybe better luck next year.' You get on that rollercoaster and it's so emotional."
