Multiple Players Claimed and Many More NHL players waived today

More and more waiver wire updates occur as the NHL season draws closer.

There are many players being waived, sent to the AHL to get seasoned, or they lost their jobs during training camp.

The list of players who were waived and claimed off of waivers today is absolutely stunning.

Louis Belpedio (PHI), Adam Brooks (PHI), Rhett Gardner (PHI), Cooper Marody (PHI) and Victor Mete (PHI).

Arizona Coyotes, Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, and Florida Panthers are the teams who added to the wire today.

A former Los Angeles Kings prospect, Samuel Fagemo, was claimed by the Nashville Predators. Also today, the Pittsburgh Penguins claimed Jansen Harkins from the Winnipeg Jets.

The Ontario Reign had hoped Fagemo would clear waivers so that he could join them in the AHL. The rebuilding Nashville Predators will give him a shot in the NHL, however.

As a result of being cut from the Winnipeg Jets roster, Cleveland's own Jansen Harkins will get a shot at the bottom-six in the Pittsburgh Penguins system. With the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, he scored 25 goals and scored 50 points.
