The NHL released a new attendance update right before the league-wide holiday break.
The list contains a few teams that come as a surprise. The Arizona Coyotes rank 9th in attendance percentage mainly due to their move to Arizona State University, which holds a much smaller capacity. They are currently selling out every game with 4.600 seats sold.
The other team that surprised me on the list is the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are in last place in the entire NHL with 20 points through 32 games. Chicago fans have always been faithful to the organization and attend games regardless of performance, but this came as a shock. They are in 11th place at 86.7% attendance rate.
