Certainly the rumours and potential destinations have flown around since season's start, much like years past.
But with the Hawks nightmare season and the future of the organization's outlook relatively unclear Hawks fans are left wondering what's next for the franchise and it's two franchise veterans - Kane and Toews.
Recently, Kane dropped somewhat of a bombshell - when he stated that he was excited for a certain Hawks prospect and his rank with the team.
Lukas Reichel has been teetered back-and-forth between Rockford and Chicago, and over his last three games, Kane has taken notice.
Number 88 took notice to an increased confidence this season, in comparison with the last and he even went on to say that he looks forward to playing on a line with Reichel in the future.
Maybe it's just a misinterpretation and Kane wants to head elsewhere for another Stanley Cup berth. But maybe the loyalty Kane has for the Hawks weighs heavier in his heart, and he hopes to bring his squad back to the success of it's dynasty days.
