This whole season has been a struggle for Patrick Kane, except for an early stretch where he scored in a few consecutive games.

He is definitely showing how hard it is for a player of his caliber to score with a lack of talent around him.

Last night was a tough one for Kaner. It started off with him taking this slash to the face that somehow went uncalled (nice job, refs).

He has also just had the puck taking unfortunate bounces, like on this beautiful pass to Athanasiou that just skipped right over AA on an open net.

His offensive struggles don't stop there, though, as he had many scoring chances last night, but the puck just wouldn't get to the back of the net.

He was playing hard all night, and this missed opportunity with just a couple seconds left in the game really sums up what type of night he had.

You can't blame the guy for snapping his stick, as he had several chances for a goal and just couldn't connect.

Thinking about the game, I can immediately picture 3-4 scenarios from last night in which Kaner had a solid scoring chance and barely missed the net or Saros just made a nice play on him.

Here is another video of Kaner that wasn't from a missed scoring chance, but rather him getting robbed of one.

It was a tough night for Kaner, but he is still one of the best players in the game. With the Blackhawks struggling badly, expect Kaner to get dealt to a contender and light up the stat sheets with more talent around him.
