It's officially 'crunch'' time for NHL franchises, time is slowly ticking and final rosters must be submitted in just over a weeks time. The NHL's regular season begins on October 7th, and regular season ends on October 6th where teams will get a last-second look at prospects and players looking to crack their respective NHL roster.

Most NHL teams are in a similar position like the Chicago Blackhawks, there are plenty of promising prospects surrounding the organization and they are still in need to let go of 20 plus skaters.

A large amount of teams acted on their roster shortening spree, take a look:

Jean-Sebastian Dea (ARZ)

Michael Carcone (ARZ)

Charles Hudon (COL)

Jonas Johansson (COL)

Spencer Smallman (COL)

Andreas Englund (COL)

Joshua Jacobs (COL)

Brad Hunt (COL)

Austin Wagner (LAK)

Continue to page two, to see the remaining players placed on waivers:

Richard Panik (NYI)

Kenneth Appleby (NYI)

CJ Smith (NYR)

Turner Elson (NYR)

A couple of NHL veterans in this list that could very well get a professional-tryout offer from another team.
