The Blackhawks have had a lot of departures this past off-season including trading away two forwards, Alex DeBrincat which disrupted the fan base, and Kirby Dach. The Blackhawks also didn't re-sign many player and lost them to free agency, that lengthy lists looks similar to this:
Players lost due to not-resigning:
Dylan Strome - Signed in Washington
Henrik Borgstrom - signed in Washington
Kevin Lankinen - signed in Nashville
Dominik Kubalik - signed in Detroit
That is just a solid chunk of the list, more names like Calvin De Haan and other prospects who never panned out were also not re-signed.
One departure that was not-so hurtful was Dominik Kubalik, Kubalik had a amazing first season with the Chicago Blackhawks and since than the team has gone downhill, and so has his confidence. Coming off a career-worst year in every category you could imagine, he looks to find a spark with his new team and looks like he has as he ripped home 2 goals in his debut.
