On Nov. 1 against New York, Boris Katchouk went down in front of the Islanders' net; he immediately went back to the bench favoring his left ankle. As of right now he's still on the bench but has yet to re-enter play.
Katchouk was out with a left ankle sprain sustained in the preseason, and he was out for a little over three weeks. He was removed from injured reserve on Oct. 24 and played his first game back on Oct. 29 against the Buffalo Sabres. He looked to be in good shape against both the Sabres and the Minnesota Wild with a big hit on Freddie Gaudreau Sunday night.
It's unclear whether he'll play through the rest of the game, but he was still on the bench at the end of the first period.
