According to journalist and Athletic contributor Mark Lazerus, there are three new teams that have emerged with confirmed interest in acquiring the services of Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane. Those three teams are the Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes, and Las Vegas Golden Knights.
While there hasn't been a formal request as of this writing from Patrick Kane to Kyle Davidson and the front office requesting a trade out of Chicago, the trade deadline is quickly approaching. The favorite to acquire Kane seemingly moved on from the idea after settling for Vladimir Tarasenko instead.
Kane hasn't produced as efficiently as many expected, but Kane is still one of the most sought after players in the entire league ahead of the trade deadline. Kane also reportedly has a hip injury that has been lingering that may impact his free agency after the season, but there are still many teams in on Kane.
Out of the three teams Lazerus has listed as potential suitors, the best package may come from Carolina. The Hurricanes not only have their own first and second round picks in this upcoming draft, but they also came into the 2022 season with the 6th best prospect pipeline in the NHL. It's uncertain at this time what return Patrick Kane can snag, but the Hurricanes are best suited to pull a trade of this magnitude off.
