Speculation Rises: Did the Blackhawks leak their new Captain today?
A recent report speculated that one of three candidates could be the next captain of the Chicago Blackhawks.
It could have been Connor Murphy, the longest-tenured Blackhawk, but Murphy declined the C with respect for "Tazer".
Since 2008, Toews has served as team captain, and Murphy wants to respect and honor his legacy.
Today was photo day, and former Alternate Captain Seth Jones and Connor Bedard had their pictures taken.
Perhaps one of them will become the Blackhawks' next captain.
Seth is turned ever so slyly here so that his sweater isn't visible. However, his nameplate and side profile are visible.
As Bedard holds onto his twig, preparing to go into battle on the ice, you can only see the determination on his face.
Are the Blackhawks photographers trying to convey a message?
