The Toronto Maple Leafs faced off against the Montreal Canadiens for a preseason game last night on Monday, October 3rd. Both teams are still in need to make multiple roster cuts, but each team took a different approach to last nights game.

The Toronto Maple Leafs practically iced their NHL opening night lineup including the ''big four'', Matthews, Marners, Nylanders and Morgan Rielly, the Leafs also had both their top goaltenders lined up. The Canadiens were quite the opposite, not that the Canadiens actual roster is impressive, but this roster was quite underwhelming but was more-so a opportunity to get a last minute look at a few young promising prospects.

Both teams had a few players slotted in who are still in need of a full-time roster spot at the NHL level, one of those players included Zac-Aston Reese, a former Pittsburgh Penguin who was the main piece involved in the Pens trading for Rickard Rakell.

Reese plays a game at a aggressive pace, and sadly that kind of play can result in a dirty play if not handled properly.

Juraj Slafkovsky, the Habs future and recent first overall pick got nailed from behind into the boards. This also shows poor leadership from the Canadiens as nobody stood up for Slafkovsky, the Habs future.

It appears ''Z.A.R'' left his feet when he threw the hit, will we be seeing a possible suspension or fine?
