Chicago Blackhawks 1st round pick this year, selected at #7, Kevin Korchinski, is having a field day in the WHL.
Kevin Korchinski is 18 years old, and is playing for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL. The only reason the Blackhawks have him is because we traded Alex DeBrincat. The Hawks got the #7 pick in that trade. Korchinski has one goal and 11 assists, having 12 points in only six games. A truly remarkable stat line.
It sucks that Chicago traded Cat, but with Korchinski being so affected on the Blackhawks PP this year, it's truly reliving knowing the Blackhawks didn't lose DEBRINCAT at no cost.
