Over the past few years, the team has made some excellent draft picks, and the addition of Connor Bedard is the icing on the cake for General Manager Kyle Davidson.
This year, three of the Blackhawks' prospects have been invited to play for the u20 Hockey Canada team. These players are no strangers to the limelight, as Paul Ludwinski, Kevin Korchinski, and Samuel Savoie have been selected by Hockey Canada.
Paul Ludwinski had an outstanding season with the Kingston Frontenacs, playing in 47 games during the 2022-2023 season, scoring 9 goals and providing 25 assists for a total of 34 points.
Kevin Korchinski played in the post-season for the Memorial Cup with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL. Despite not winning the cup, Korchinski had a fantastic season, scoring 11 goals and 62 assists for a total of 73 points in 54 games.
Samuel Savoie may be a somewhat underrated player, but he played an essential role with the Gatineau Olympics, scoring 26 goals and 33 assists for a total of 59 points.
It's not surprising that these players have been invited to play for the u20 Hockey Canada team, as they are all active contributors to their respective teams.
