The NHL will be experimenting with lineups
Let's think outside the box and use some common sense, which seems to have been lacking lately.
Last season, the NHL received numerous valid complaints about blackouts, back-to-back start times, and multiple games airing simultaneously.
The NHL is experimenting with staggering start times, as it will have a 16-game night on October 24th.
Games will start between 6pm and 11pm ET, with every game at a different time.
While we appreciate being able to watch our favorite teams, we also want the option to catch more than one game on some nights.
To address this, the NHL will be conducting an experiment on October 24th, 2023 by featuring 16 games in one night.
Furthermore, the games will have staggered start times, as many fans had requested last season.
We won't know if the format will stick, but it is a start for the league.
