Two Former Blackhawks Assist on a Beautiful Goal
Dylan Strome and Erik Gustafsson were let go by the Blackhawks this offseason as they begin their rebuild.
Both players signed a 1-year deal with the Washington Capitals and made a positive showing in their opening game.
Gustafsson is a bit older, but Strome seemed like a guy that the Blackhawks should keep around for a rebuild. The new front office had different ideas.
Now, in game 1 of 82, Strome is already showing off his massive upside, and it was on display for Washington's opening goal of the campaign:
I really hope that every player who the Blackhawks moved on from this offseason has a great year, especially Dylan Strome.
I was always a believer in his skills, and I hope he has a great year in the country's capital.
