After top player Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers missed Wednesday's morning skate-the day following the Battle of Alberta and the day of the Oilers talent competition-some worrying news has just come to light.
Due to "some bumps and bruises," according to head coach Jay Woodcroft, Draisaitl was unable to participate in the skills competition.
When asked if Draisaitl will be ready for Friday's game against the Seattle Kraken, Woodcroft responded, "We'll see." However, tomorrow came, which is today (Thursday), and Draisaitl is once again missing practice.
On the play seen here, which wasn't ruled a penalty, Draisaitl seemed to be hurt.
Leon Draisaitl did not practice again today. When asked about his status for tomorrow's game in Seattle, Jay Woodcroft said "we'll see."
