With the loss to Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament, Landon Slaggert ended his NCAA career and signed his ELC with the NHL.
Slaggert signed a two-year entry-level contract on March 10th, 2024, and it runs through the 2024-2025 season.

He brings much-needed leadership to the new era of Blackhawks hockey with his current cap hit of $912K.
The Blackhawks welcomed him at morning skate today and he was seen smiling later, as he has finally arrived in the NHL.
During his 2023-2024 NCAA campaign, Slaggert scored 20 goals and 31 points, which was a career year for him.
With 20 goals, he ranked 12th among all NCAA skaters during the season. He led the Irish with 31 points and 11 assists, ranking 7th.
In total, Slaggery played 136 games for the Irish from 2020-2024, registering 92 points with 47 goals and 45 assists. In 2021-2022, Slaggert served as an alternate captain for the Irish and helped the club reach two NCAA Tournament appearances, and in 2021, he won a gold medal with Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
He also appeared in 98 games with the US NDTP from 2018-2020, scoring 48 points with 23 goals and 25 assists.
He was originally drafted 79th overall in the 3rd round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
