Blackhawks Seth Jones Has Harsh Truth for Teammates
While it seems that Seth Jones is unhappy with the current state of the Chicago Blackhawks, he also has let the floodgates down regarding interviews.
Is he sick enough of the team to make this part of a push for Kyle Davidson to deal him in free agency?
During his exit interview, he took a contrarian stance on being a leader in the locker room.
While Foligno calls out his teammates, he also helps mentor and show them the way in the NHL. He is a leader and stands up for his teammates.
«Do we need an A-hole in the room? You can call it an A-hole, but that's one of the more important guys in a locker room, can look everyone in the eye and say, You're not doing a good enough job.'»
Seth Jones
During the exit interview, Jones was asked if an "A-Hole" in the room, which isn't popular in the locker room who is blunt and afraid to criticize his teammates.
He felt that they were necessary in the locker-room, despite the love-hate relationship that follows those kinds of characters.
Stated they were less relevant in the NHL nowadays, but he seemed to appreciate their presence and felt that the Blackhawks may need one of them in the room.
Even as much as he fought against having one in the past, he seems to have changed his mind with this statement.
With the new look Blackhawks taking hold, does this statement fit with the goals Kyle Davidson has for the team?
We'll see come July 1st.
