"The Chicago Blackhawks franchise have taken the first step in acknowledging all the recent allegations against the team and former video coach Brad Aldrich. Aldrich is accused of sexual assault against a former player in 2010.The team sent out an internal memo today announcing that they've hired a former federal prosecutor to lead an independent investigation. Reid Schar of Jenner & Block LLP will be leading the review.«We want to reiterate to you that we take the allegations described in these lawsuits very seriously,» Wirtz said in the memo. «They in no way reflect this organization's culture or values.»"Mr. Schar and his firm have significant experience conducting independent investigative reviews, have no previous ties to the Blackhawks organization, and have been directed to follow the facts wherever they lead." Do you think this will uncover anything?
So that's likely to serve as the Blackhawks' only comments about the lawsuits and the allegations for the time being. — Mark Lazerus (@MarkLazerus) June 28, 2021
