"The Chicago Blackhawks open up their season this Friday in Europe and it looks like they might be without two of their key defenseman. Chicago confirmed that defenseman Connor Murphy is officially out for Friday's opener against the Philadelphia Flyers. He might not be the only that misses the opener as it seems that Calvin de Haan still might not be ready. That means that it's more than likely we'll see Dennis Gilbert and Slater Koekkoek as the team's third defensive pairing. More to come.
