Matt Petgrave's Fate Decided After Lethal Incident With Adam Johnson

Matt Petgrave and Adam Johnson have both spent time in the NHL and competed against each other in the UK's EIHL. There was an incident that drew the attention to both players during the summer.

The international hockey community mourned Adam Johnson's unfortunate passing as a result of the incident.

Johnson's neck would be cut during a match in the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League, Petgrave whose actions led to Johnson's laceration was under investigation in the UK.

He was arrested and face manslaughter charges as a result of the action during the play.

Petgrave's bail has been extended for a consecutive time to June 26th, 2024, a 3rd time while he awaits trial.

Matt Petgrave, who is under arrest on suspicion of manslaughter to Adam Johnson during a game in the United Kingdom's top flight hockey league, has been re-bailed for the third time, with the extension spanning to June 26th, 2024. He is still to remain in Nottingham until a trial.

Two camps view this as an accident and others see the play as intentional. Petgrave maintains that this was an accident.

Petgrave will remain in Nottingham until an official trial date is set.
