There are reportedly a dozen teams vying for the winger's services, including the team that drafted him in 2014, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Blackhawks could shore up their bottom-six with Joshua's gritty style of play, which could be a great option, as many UFAs will be walking soon.
Joshua broke out in 2023-2024 as a depth winger in the Canucks system scoring 32 points( 18 G, 14 A) in 63 games with the team.
He led the Canucks in hits and played a significant role on the team's penalty kill, all the while forming a great playmaking duo with Connor Garland.
The depth winger will be a commodity to be sought after on the free market if he reaches Free Agency on July 1st.
Joshua spent two seasons in St. Louis after the Maple Leafs traded the depth winger, scoring 9 points( 4 G, 5 A) in 42 games with a plus/minus of +3.
He would sign a two-year deal with the Canucks in 2022, with an AAV of $825K, and his career stats with the Canucks including 54 points( 29 G, 26 A) and a plus/minus of +3 in 142 games played.
The Canucks want to re-sign Joshua, but he could end up being a cap casualty as it is the next hurdle for the team to cross. If they could trade Mikeheyev they could find the cap space to do so.
Joshua could be a solution to make the Blackhawks a better team.
