Trade officially completed between the Blackhawks and Lightning
The Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning made a huge trade in which, the Blackhawks acquired Boris Katchouk, Taylor Raddysh and a two-1st round picks.
The Tampa Bay Lightning were swiftly eliminated from the Playoffs in the 1st round.
The Islanders and Knights being eliminated means that they will land 18th and 19th in the draft order consecutively, after being eliminated in the 1st round as well, meaning the trade has officially been completed.
As you should remember, the 1st round pick was conditional.
Their 2024 1st round pick, has become the 20th selection during the 2024 Draft, as the Hawks have 5 picks during the 1st round this season.
The other pick, a 2023 1st round pick, was 19th overall, which became Minnesota Golden Gophers Center Oliver Moore.
So, thanks to Tampa Bay and Brandon Hagel, the Blackhawks will continue to pocket meaningful picks and prospects for the future which looks brighter all the time.
