A scene of Patrick Kane is at a MLB game is going viral on the web
There's something brewing on the internet, as former Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane has been spotted wearing, another team's jersey.
It's not the Detroit Red Wings, which we know on-ice, he represented the Winged Wheel regrettably.
It's not, a Rangers jersey either, as that'd be odd really.
He was seen wearing a Detroit Tigers, jersey in the suite watching what was a Tigers game.
Kane wasn't the only former Blackhawk player who was also spotted wearing, Tigers colors at Comerica Park.
As pictured above you could see Alex DeBrincat wearing a Nike "City Edition" of the Tigers jersey, "Motor City" in a gradient blue.
The Red Wings took a break from training camp, to make it out to the Tigers game and enjoy some baseball, while the season begins to wind down.
It's arguable that players will take to any team in any city they play for, but how often did Kane make it out to Sox or Cubs games?
It's still odd seeing Kane in colors that aren't the usual we see in the Windy City, whether it's the grey, black, and white of the Sox, or the blue, red, or grey of the Cubbies.
The hope is one day that Kane will retire in Chicago, and maybe play a season with Connor Bedard before he calls it a career.
For now, this is just odd to see, nor is it desirable for someone who loves the Hawks.
"I sound like a broken record when it comes to the [Detroit] sports," Lalonde said after today's two practices concluded. "Very excited today because my Buffalo Bills looked really good [last night], so I had a little more jump in my step in the locker room. Bills are in a good spot because Patrick Kane [from Buffalo] was half on board. I asked him to be more invested this year, so no surprise we're 3-0. Of course, I watched the Lions. They've made me fans [sic]. Obviously, Detroit is personal. We share the same ownership [with the Tigers]. Even some internal growth and beliefs in approaching some things. It's been pretty cool what they've done. I like the Tigers. I lost my baseball team, the Expos, back in the day, so I've kinda been a free agent, and that logo D is tough not to like. It's been fun to watch."
So it seems, that maybe Kane is a Tigers fan for good, like Coach Lalonde?
Kane may live in Chicago, but his heart resides in Motor City now.
