The Chicago Blackhawks have held their ground against the New Jersey Devils today, thanks toDrew Commesso.

Commesso has come in clutch all day against the onslaught of Sheldon Keefe's New Jersey Devils.

With 1:40 left in the 2nd period, he made an amazing glove save on Erik Haula stopping the Devils in their track.

The Devils have been held scoreless, as defensemen like Alex Vlasic, Kevin Korchinski, and the Hawks have played a solid 40 minutes in the game so far.

Commesso has been steady in the net, as the team has limited the New Jersey Devils to 17 shots on the net today.

T.J. Brodie, Jason Dickinson, and Nick Foligno have been the other Blackhawks players to come away with a point after 40 minutes today.

Commesso flashed the leather on Haula with authority and has given his family a good show in New Jersey today.

The Blackhawks experienced two firsts last night despite losing. The first was Drew Commesso's NHL debut in net. He relieved Arvid Soderblom after Chicago's current starter allowed five goals on 19 shots.

Do you think the former 46th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2020 NHL Draft can come out with a win?

He played his first NHL shift against the New York Islanders this week and could end the road trip with a win against the Devils.

Not a bad start for the Blackhawks rookie.

Update:

The Blackhawks were unable to stop the New Jersey Devils. The Hawks ended the game 4-1 to the Devils, saving 21 of 25 shots with a .840 save percentage.
