Chicago Blackhawks to sign former teammate of Patrick Kane to convince showtime
Chicago Blackhawks to sign Vladimir Tarasenko, highly-ranked free agent
Vladimir Tarasenko is currently one win away from the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, but sadly for him, he will not be returning with the organization.
Florida Panthers' general manager Bill Zito has a very tight budget moving into next season, with next-to-nothing available in cap space, several players are due for pay raises, and Tarasenko is the odd-man out.
The Blackhawks want to bring in experienced players without committing to long contracts. They need to keep money available for young star Connor Bedard's future deal. Tarasenko would be a great fit because he could join for a year or two, bringing skill and experience to help Bedard develop.
This move would also bring a former teammate of Patrick Kane, Tarasenko, to Chicago, possibly convincing the Hawks to bring back showtime?
This could be a smart move for Chicago as they try to build a strong team around their new talent.
