Dustin Byfuglien in Chicago? Today marks a special day for Hawks fans
Today is a special day for Chicago Blackhawks fans, as we reminisce about defenseman Dustin Byfuglien (AKA Big Buf).
Standing tall at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 260 pounds, Buffin was no ordinary player. Drafted by the Blackhawks in 2003, he was a force on the ice.
Big Buff was known for his physical style of play, earning the nickname "human wrecking ball." He wasn't afraid to get rough, but he also contributed solid points throughout his career, tallying 525 in 869 games.
Despite his aggressive play, he was a game-changer, scoring 36 game-winning goals. On this day 14 years ago, he made history with a hat-trick against the Vancouver Canucks, securing a 5-3 victory for the Blackhawks.
