NHL veteran forward enforcer Milan Lucic worked out in New Jersey this summer to hopefully earn another NHL spot. Well, it seems that was all for nothing at the moment, as there's no sign that Gary Bettman will give him the right to play in the NHL anytime soon. Milan Lucic was arrested in Boston last November for two crimes, but when he want to court, he pleaded not guilty and all the charges were dropped.

Ever since the arrest, Lucic hasn't been able to play in the NHL. Lucic was put in the NHLPA assistance program. Milan's contract with Boston ended on June 30 and he's a UFA, but he cannot sign anywhere until Bettman gives him the green light to play again.
