As Zach Parise prepares for his teams playoff run with the Colorado Avalanche, he has revealed his retirement plans.

In a recent interview, Parise shared his decision after spending 19 seasons in the NHL, he will officially call it quits after this season.

"I've decided. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. It's been awesome to be a part of. Playing with these guys and even just practicing with them, it makes you a better player even at my age. It's gone even better than I thought it would be."

Throughout his career, Parise played 1253 NHL games and amassed 888 points.

As he embarks on his final playoff journey, he's in search for one thing only, and that is a Stanley Cup underneath his belt.
