The Ottawa Senators have made some improvement to a squad that was already well on it's way through their rebuild.
During the offseason, they perhaps put a bow on it, when making two big splash moves. Bringing in Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux, and the latter has made a decision leaving Sens faithful scratching their heads.
The former Blackhawks has decided not to sign an extension with the Senators for the time being?
Ian Mendes, who covers the Senators for TSN, said the DeBrincat is on-board with riding out the season, before making a decision about his future.
Should the Senators be concerned?
Or should it be expected as the goalscoring machine, DeBrincat could pad the price of his next contract, should he continue his offensive output in 2022-23 with his new team?
What do the fans think?
