With the NHL season now having surpassed 10 completed games, the early returns on Connor Bedard have been promising. So far, he has lived up to the expectations and more. His playing style is adapting to the NHL style, and he is starting to make regular contributions on the scoresheet.

The Blackhawks faced the Coyotes a few days ago, and within the first 30 seconds of the game, Kevin Korchinski, another rookie for the Blackhawks, delivered a pass to Bedard, who fired it past Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, this goal broke an NHL record, as he is now the youngest player in NHL history to score a goal in the first 30 seconds of a game.

The record-setting goal turned out to be futile as the Blackhawks lost 8-1 against the Coyotes that night. In his past nine NHL games, he has scored four goals with two assists, totalling six points, and has taken 28 shots on goal, including one power-play goal.

He is currently the leading goal scorer for the team and is tied for first place in overall points for the Hawks.
