The Buffalo Sabres watched Eichel, and during the scouting; they came across a running mate of Eichel's, of sorts.
Evan Rodrigues is the player in question, as he had a career-year, but for whatever reason he is yet to ink an extension with the Penguins.
Well, that's where this quote has warranted attention, towards the forward's future.
Here's a twitter post that Elliot Friedman reportedly stated Anaheim is a top destination, and a deal will be worked out this week.
Rodrigues had a career-year in 2021-22, but aside from it he hasn't been a huge offensive threat.
The pending extension, surely reflects that. What do you expect him to sign for?
